To be used at any accredited college or university.

This scholarship program is for CCSEFCU members only. Students may join the credit union and then apply. All students in the Cecil County Public School System, Tome School, and Tri-State Academy are eligible for membership.

All essays must be forwarded to the credit union at 203 Booth Street, Elkton, MD by April 8, 2016 for a decision to be made by May 13, 2016. - be and/or become a member of CCSEFCU
- be a high school senior
- have a GPA of 2.5 or above
- submit a two page double-spaced essay on the topic: "Imagine that you are talking with a friend.
Explain to them the value of your credit union membership."
$12,000 College Scholarship Awards Program
The Credit Union Foundation MD/DC is pleased to announce a college scholarship program to help your college-bound credit union members meet their tuition costs.
The $12,000 Credit Union College Scholarship Program for 2016 is underway now! College-bound members of any Maryland or District of Columbia-based credit union are eligible to apply for the ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships, one $1,000 video-based scholarship, and one $1,000 photo-based scholarship.
This year’s essay topic is:
“You and a friend would like to start building your credit. Discuss with your friend what good credit is, ways to start building credit, how your credit union can help, and the benefits earned by having good credit.”
This year’s video topic is:
“Create a 60-second video that displays the importance of financial literacy.”
Applying in the photo-essay category?
Photographers are invited to capture an original photograph that represents the credit union core value “Service.”
Any member of a Maryland or D.C.-based credit union
who is entering their freshmen through senior year of college or trade school may apply.

2015 Scholarship Winner
CCSEFCU is honored to grant this year’s $1000 essay scholarship to
Molly Clewer, a senior at North East High School. This fall, Molly will be attending King’s College in Wilkes- Barre, PA, where she plans on majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. She will also be playing field hockey for the Monarchs. The Credit Union and staff congratulate Miss Clewer and wish her much success in her future endeavors.
